Verdadera leyenda de Uruguay, Enzo Francescoli se mostró encantado con la futura llegada de Marcelo Bielsa al frente de la selección uruguaya: “Me gusta esta idea porque creo que Uruguay puede generar otra dinámica. Tiene buenos jugadores, el maestro Tabárez ha hecho crecer mucho al equipo en los últimos años, pero creo que hoy los jugadores y el equipo necesitan tener más dinamismo y tomar riesgos”, dijo quien, como Bielsa, pasó por el Olympique de Marsella (1989-1990).
“Y creo que con Bielsa la selección va a tener ese dinamismo, creo que le puede dar un agregado a lo que ya tiene Uruguay, que son muy buenos jugadores, y el fútbol uruguayo últimamente se caracteriza por un fútbol bonito. No es el mejor, pero es buen fútbol. Creo que le puede dar más anticiparse, arriesgarse, empujar, jugar. En el fútbol de hoy, si no juegas, es muy difícil», concluyó.
Para los últimos escépticos uruguayos, el Príncipe ha decidido y pesa mucho su opinión.
